From now on I will consider these two entities as one and the same. We will study and see who and what they are. Here are some of the attributes of the Lamb;
16 And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the LAMB:
The following prophecy of Jesus tells of an entity called THE SON OF MAN that is identical to that of the Lamb of the 6th seal, it says;
30: And then shall appear THE SIGN OF THE SON OF MAN in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, AND THEY SHALL SEE THE SON OF MAN COMING IN THE CLOUDS OF HEAVEN WITH POWER AND GREAT GLORY.
31: AND HE SHALL SEND HIS ANGELS with a great sound of a trumpet, AND THEY SHALL GATHER TOGETHER HIS ELECT FROM THE FOUR WINDS, FROM ONE END OF HEAVEN TO THE OTHER.
2: And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea,
3: Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, TILL WE HAVE SEALED THE SERVANTS OF OUR GOD IN THEIR FOREHEADS.
4: And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel.
These prophecies of the Lamb, and the Son of Man say that the peoples of the earth will mourn and/or be afraid when these "Son of Man"/"Lamb" entities appear upon the earth. Matthew also records that the tribes of the earth will mourn when they see this
Son of Man coming with power and great glory. Notice that the Son Of Man appears on the earth after the tribulation of those days. It says;
30: And then shall appear the sign of the SON OF MAN in heaven: AND THEN SHALL ALL THE TRIBES OF THE EARTH MOURN, AND THEY SHALL SEE THE SON OF MAN COMING IN THE CLOUDS OF HEAVEN WITH POWER AND GREAT GLORY.
Coincidentally the same thing more or less happens in the 6th chapter of Revelations when the Lamb appears. This Lamb also appears when the sun is darkened and the moon is turned to blood. When this Lamb stands upon the earth, the kings of the
earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, will try and hide themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains.
13: And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind.
14: And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.
15: And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains;
16: And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:
17: For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?
The dictionary says of the word "mourn;"

THE SON OF MAN AND THE LAMB
It can be concluded that the Son of Man, and the Lamb are actually the same person, because they both arrive on the world's scene after the Tribulation of the Christian-Saints, and at the time when THE SUN IS DARKENED AND THE MOON IS TURNED
INTO BLOOD!
Rv 6:15: And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains;
Here the prophecy of the sixth seal says that the rulers of the earth and all who are with them, will be afraid of this Lamb that suddenly appears upon the earth with the opening of the sixth seal. Revelations 14 says that this Lamb will be
standing on the earth and standing with him will be the sealed of God. It says;
Rv 14:1 And I looked, and, lo, A LAMB STOOD ON MOUNT SION, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father's name written in their foreheads.
Rv 14:4 These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. THESE ARE THEY WHICH FOLLOW THE LAMB WITHERSOEVER HE GOETH. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb.
The above scripture says that the 144,000 follow the Lamb wherever he goes. In other words this Lamb will be the leader of God's people and will lead his people through this great tribulation that will come upon all them that dwell upon the
earth.
This prophecy says that the Lamb will be standing on the earth at Mount Zion (Zion-America), and standing with him will be those who have been sealed with His Father's name. These people are called the 144,000. These 144,000 are
symbolic of the Latter Day House of Israel who are called "THE ELECT."
Matt. 24:29: Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
Notice in the above prophecy that this SON OF MAN, who has great power and glory, sends his angels to gather "HIS ELECT" (the House of Israel) from the four winds, and from one end of heaven to another. This is exactly what happens in
Revelations chapter seven at the time the Lamb appears on earth only it uses different words, it says;
Rev. 7:1: And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree.
Here you can see that it is the 144,000 that are sealed with the protective seal of God. The 144,000 are God's elect and constitute the Latter Day House of Israel. In Matthew 24 it says that the people who are gathered from the four winds
of heaven and are with the Son Of Man are called "HIS ELECT." It says;
Matt. 24:31: And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together HIS ELECT from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
The Bible says that God's elect are the House of Israel. It says;
Isa 45:4 For Jacob my servant's sake, and "ISRAEL MINE ELECT," I have even called thee by thy name: I have surnamed thee, though thou hast not known me.
If you compare Matthew 24:31 with Revelations 7:4 you will see that it is the house of Israel who will be gathered and sealed with the seal of God. The prophecies of the Son of Man and the prophecies of the Lamb mention this gathering and
sealing of the House of Israel.
Matt. 24:29: Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
In the above prophecy, this Son of Man appears at the time "when the sun is darkened and the moon does not give her light. At this time all the nations of the earth will mourn when he appears and stands upon the earth.
Rev. 6:12: And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood;
Here you can see that when the Lamb (along with "HIM WHO SITS UPON THE THRONE,") arrives on the world's scene, the rulers of the earth become terrified and they try to hide from the wrath of the Lamb and HIM WHO SITS UPON THE
THRONE.
This reaction of the nations when the Lamb appears upon the earth is comparable to what happens when the Son of Man is revealed upon the earth. The Bible says that all the nations of the earth will mourn when they see the Son of Man on the
earth.
mourn (môrn, m˝rn) v. mourned, mourn·ing, mourns. --intr. 1. To feel or express grief or sorrow. 2. To show grief for a death by conventional signs, as by wearing black clothes. 3. To make a low, indistinct, mournful sound. Used especially of
a dove. --tr. 1. To feel or express deep regret for. 2. To grieve over (someone who has died). 3. To utter sorrowfully. --mourn"er n. --mourn"ing·ly adv.
These two scriptures say that the nations of the world, and especially their rulers will be mournful, and will be terrified both at the same time. Apparently they realize that their time is up. It is curtains for them. They will
anticipate that they will die.
